Bakery Manager: The bakery manager is responsible for daily bakery operations including overseeing the production of daily baked goods and managing all other preparatory projects. Duties also include maintaining overall food safety and sanitation of facility, purchasing ingredients, merchandising products and creating relationships with customers. The bakery manager models best working practices to all bakery employees and is responsible for employee scheduling and training. The primary focus of the work is to create and maintain a bakery that uses the fruits and vegetables grown on our land in high-quality baked goods. The bakery supports the overall business by turning excess into a profitable product. The position requires the bakery manager to be organized and detail oriented. The seasonal aspect of the business requires flexibility and excellent planning skills to be able to capitalize on the high-season. The ideal candidate would have the ability to teach others, create effective work systems and be consistent and diligent. Prior food service management experience is a must. ServSafe certification must be current. Season: April-November. Full time, 40-60 hrs/week, and will require working most weekends. Assistant Fruit Farmer: The assistant fruit farmer is responsible for the health, growth, and maturing of a wide variety of fruits using sustainable and IPM practices. They are responsible for managing the field staff as well as accomplishing the day-to-day tasks. The ideal candidate is an organized and hard working person who works well with others and is looking to learn new skills. Responsibilities: growing a wide variety of fruits, planting, pruning, irrigating, fertilizing, scouting for pests, spraying, harvesting, managing field staff. Background or education in agriculture is preferred but we will train the right candidate. This is a full time, year round position of 40-60 hrs/week, and will require working most weekends. Facilities and Grounds Manager: Responsible for building maintenance and upkeep, identifying safety issues throughout the property and grounds, and the maintenance of landscaping. Ideal candidate has good organizational and interpersonal skills, and is good at problem solving in a wide range of areas. 25+ hours/week, year-round.
